The role of your Regional Reps

Regional Reps are responsible for the following –

  • To act cohesively between the members in their region and the BWE board.
Reps act as a voice for members in their region when communicating with
the board, and as a voice for the board when communicating with the
    members.
  • To report back to the board, via the Regional Coordinator about activities in
    their region.
  • To gain feedback and opinions from members on subjects, as directed by the
    board.
  • To research and connect with potential venues/organisers in their region for
regional competitions and to provide relevant information and documents to
    these venues/organisers.
  • To gather and forward proposed regional competition dates to the Regional
    Coordinator for approval.
  • To work with BWE to identify venues in their region for National competitions
    and other official BWE events.
  • To encourage and support collaboration between instructors in their region.
  • To monitor community Facebook groups and ensure consistent reposting of
information from the main BWE Facebook page.
  • To promote an inclusive and welcoming community.

A note for our members –
  • All usual lines of communication with BWE remain unchanged. You are, as
ever, welcome to contact the board directly about anything you wish to.
  • All matters regarding membership, National competitions and other official
BWE events should still be communicated about with us directly on the main
    BWE email address.
  • Please be respectful and considerate to our regional reps, many are
competitors themselves, and we want them to be able to continue to
participate in and enjoy the sport as before. They may not always have their
rep “hat” on so please use good judgement and choose appropriate times to
speak to them about regional matters, ie: not half an hour before they go in
    for a test!
