In 2019, the British National Anthem was played for the first time in history at a Working Equitation Championship when our Junior team won the Cattle phase and consequently finished in 2nd place over all at the Junior and Young rider Europeans in Portugal! It was a very proud moment for all involved as so many had seen these riders evolve through the levels from a young age. Two of these riders went on to compete in the senior team at the 2022 European Championships in France. Tamsin has just taken her 3rd horse in to Advanced at national level and we are very excited to have Tora back competing after a break to pursue her career, in a couple of weeks time at Hartpury!
We have a very promising group of junior riders coming in to the sport now at the national levels, showing the talent and dedication it takes to get to international level and we look forward to supporting their progression through our Mini Squad and Team Pathway Training projects.
Sadly no Junior or Young Rider combinations came forward for this year's championships but with so much talent on the horizon we concentrate on the future and what there is to come!
We would like to wish all nations and friends competing at this year's Junior and Young Rider Championships the very best of luck and a lot of fun!!
